Collioure holiday cottage
The town's official motto is "Sempre endavant, mai morirem (Always forward, We'll never die).
Under Mayor Moly's leadership, the town has an alternative motto, "Collioure séra toujours Collioure" (Collioure stay the same), quoting French singer Maurice Chevalier's famous song titled "Paris séra toujours Paris".

Can you ever find that authentic French experience, or is it simply a myth?
France is a nation of huge diversity and nowhere reflects this more than Collioure.
Is it French? Is it Catalan? Whatever Collioure is, it is the perfect holiday location to immerse yourself in a relaxed, sun-drenched, Mediterranean culture, steeped in history and bristling with cosmopolitan fervour.
The cottage
20 Rue du Soleil is an original beamed fisherman's cottage in the heart of medieval Collioure, available to rent all year round.
The cottage is just one hundred metres from the bustling old town and beaches. It is spacious and recently renovated and can sleep up to 8 in two double rooms and two twins; perfect for families.
The kitchen is completely modernised, ideal for a self-catering break, and the dining set comfortably seats eight. For entertainment, there is a CD/DVD player.
From an upstairs balcony, you can wake up to stunning views over vineyards, the fort and windmill.
For al fresco dining on those long balmy summer evenings, the cottage has a private rear patio, with a built-in BBQ, outdoor sink and dining furniture. The cottage also has a secure garage.
Rue du Soleil is a narrow cobbled street, featured in a painting by Matisse.
