Flying there
Collioure is regularly served all-year by budget air travel:
- Perpignan is the nearest airport and is just 30 minutes drive. You can get from Perpignan to Collioure by public transport. Ryan Air fly from Stansted to Perpignan all year round. Flybe fly from Birmingham and Southampton on a seasonal basis.
- Girona (Spain) is 1 hour and 15 minutes drive from Collioure. Ryan Air operate daily, year-round flights, from Stansted, Luton, Bournemouth, Blackpool, East Midlands, Glasgow, Liverpool, Dublin and Shannon.
- Carcassone and Montpellier are each 1 hour 30 minutes drive from Collioure. Ryan Air fly to each from Standsted and to Carcassone from East Midlands, Liverpool and Shannon.

Motorways (some tolled) run all the way to Perpignan and then it is dual carriageway to the outskirts of Collioure. Allow 11 to 12 hours driving time from the northern French sea ports, so a stop-over may be helpful.

By Train
There are daily servives, from London Waterloo, with Eurostar to Paris, then TGV to Perpignan and then local train to Collioure. The average travel time is 12 hours.
Car hire
Reasonably priced car hire can be booked through www.holidayautos.com. Pick-ups can be arranged from all airports, Perpignan train station and Collioure town centre.
Special deals can be arranged with Hertz, through Ryan Air.
Perpignan to Collioure by public transport
- Get the airport shuttle bus parked outside the terminal to Perpignan SNCF train station. (Less expensive than a taxi, around €5.
- Trains between Perpignan and Collioure operate at irregular schedule, but roughly every hour. The trip is around 25 minutes is €5.

- Alternatively, you can walk to the Perpignan Gare Routiere catch a bus to Collioure. However, there are few buses between Perpignan and Collioure and none on Sundays. The bus takes 45 minutes. (Many timetables are marked as 'school children priority' and no-one else gets on until they are safely on board.)
- Both the train station and bus stop are in the centre of Collioure.
- Taxis are around €60-€70
- Just a note: in Collioure the main bus station, Gare Routiere, is in the town centre and the railway station described as Dali "the centre of the world"
is a few minutes walk to the west. However, the small bus station at the railway station is also called Gare Routiere.
